Leroy's Story
Life
Hello and thank you for visiting! If you read this and want to drop me a line, please feel free to email me at LeroyWorks4u at aol.I still live in Simi Valley with my wonderful wife, Debbie, and our two children, Jacob and Shannon.
After graduating from Royal I went to Moorpark College for a few years where I ran track (polevaulting) and met my future wife. I later transfered to San Diego and graduated from San Diego State.
After graduating from SDSU I traveled a bit and discovered that there really is no place like home. I returned home to Simi Valley and also discovered that my life was good but to make it great I had to take the next step and marry a women who is unlike any other I have met. Though we dated for years I always regretted not getting married sooner. So on a sunny September day in 1990, my wife and I tied the knot at Saint Rose of Lima Church in Simi Valley.
Fast forward a few years, my wife and I are still enjoying our time together with our family. We have a 14 yr old son Jacob and a 8 yr old daughter Shannon. Jacob is a good student and a hell of a baseball player, we have traveled around the country with his team. ...Expand for more
My daughter is truly the apple of her daddy's eye. Shannon loves to sing and act and hopes to perform someday on tv. She has already done a commercial for AOL. Hopefully she will wait to pursue acting until after she gets her degree.
A few years ago I changed careers and left a 10 year job at Countrywide so that I could spend more time with my family. I found that I was leaving before the kids got up in the morning and was coming home when the kids were getting their baths. I decided that there was more to life than working 70 hrs a week for a massive corporation like Countrywide.
With the support of my family I went into real estate with Troop Real Estate and it has proven to be the best decision I could have made. I am now able to give my family the attention they deserve. I have also reconnected with many old friends and helped many of them sell or buy their homes. The odd part is that I am now helping some of our classmate's kids buy homes. Talk about feeling old.
Well, hope to hear from you soon.
Sincerely,
Leroy Leyba
