Liane's Story
Life
I'm living on the coast now and working as a legal secretary and office manager to a defense attorney. My three sons are raised. I have a dog. Yesterday a fisherman-client called with fresh live crabs. And boy did he mean live. There were nine of them. I got pinched once and dropped one of them onto the kitchen floor. It took off skittering sideways clackety-clack with Bear-the-dog in hot pursuit. Bear cornered it against the cupboards where it too...Expand for more
k a stand on its back legs with it's huge pincers clicking in the air. These were not little crabs, mind you, but big and dangerous. The adventure ended with a little melted butter and a bottle of Berriger white zin from Costco. I moved here from Willows, California about a year ago. I still don't know many people here, but it's a great place to live. Humboldt State and College of the Redwoods are both here and I'm signed up for art and writing classes.
