Liatris's Story
Life
I live in the shadow of Mt. St. Helens. (She doesn't cast such a huge shadow now, but sends out some ash from time to time to let us know she's thinking of us.) I am a high school teacher...AP English Lit and Spanish are my main subjects this year. Otherwise, I am the whole foreign language department with an occasional German or French student. Yes, it is a very small high school.

In my spare time (joke), I read and knit. Every year or two I take a small group of students to Spain...I believe in broadening horizons. I love to travel.
I have become a true Washingtonian. I don't carry an umbrella; I run between raindrops. Any time we see the sun is an occasion for celebration. We live in a beautiful part of the Cascades with beautiful hiking trails. I try to get one or two hikes under my belt every summer when the wild flowers are blooming.
