School Early school years were out in the country at Borrego Elementary School and then El Carmen and Buena Vista Elementary Schools. This was out in Elmendorf, south of San Antonio. I moved to the big time at Southside Junior High School for 7th grade,made it to be elected a cheerleader, but then our family moved to San Antonio. There is where I was enrolled at Luther Burbank Voc. High School. What a change from the country schools! I loved Burbank and all the great friends and teachers. I went to Lowell Junior High School and then back to Burbank for 9th-12th grades. I was in Orange Jackets (loved all the activities and excitement), Home Ec, Future Teachers, and Honor Society. I was fortunate to receive scholarships and attended college at Incarnate Word for 4 years, graduating with a bachelor's degree in secondary education. Twenty years later(you read that right)I graduated from law school from the University of Colorado at Boulder.
