Lillian's Story
Life
after high school I got a job as a Money Market clerk at Bank of Boston Int'l, married at 21 and had one son, divorced,then worked at Societe Generale, remarried at 24 and had another boy. We decided to leave the city scene, moved to South Jersey and there I gave birth to two beautiful girls. After 14 years of marriage my husband decided to continue on with life without me and the kids. I picked myself up, got certified as a medical assistant and got a job with a Dermatologist. I started going to a new church, there I met the most wonderful man and after two years of dating we married. Now that I've finally got it right I'm living a comfortable life with four beautiful and respectable (which is so rare now adays!) children (boys,27 and 12, and girls, 19 and 15) I am married 7 years...Expand for more
and he treats me like a queen! I enjoy writing devotionals and have been published a few times. I also have my own business, Pampered Chef. I enjoy it immensely, lots of fun and enjoy meeting new people and teaching new recipes.
Workplace
I started out in banking back in New York. I then moved to New Jersey where I worked in banking for a while then took a break to have a baby. Four kids later I changed careers and became a medical assistant for a Dermatologist. I loved my job but due to health reasons I had to "retire'. After 2 1/2 years I was feeling well enough to go back to work. I went back at the Dermatologist office working part-time as a medical records custodian and now am full time again. I can happily say I have the best of both worlds: flexible hours and low stress.
