Parties, weddings, graduations, school activities, filming, photo shoots, exhibitions, private dinner parties and performances have all been held in the garden.
The garden is a public space and anyone may walk in during your event. We will provide you with a "PRIVATE EVENT, by invitation only" sign which we will post on the entry gate, this keeps out 99.9% of strangers. The gate can be closed, but not locked while you are inside.
Events can take place between 10 AM and 10 PM only, for a minimum of4 hours and a maximum of 8 hours. We appreciate your reservation avoiding 1 PM till 5 PM, that way we do not exclude the community from using the garden at our busiest times.
Set up and clean up times are INCLUDED in your reservation, if your event ends at 9 PM, you must vacate the garden at that time.
There is no electricity in the garden. Water is available through a garden hose only, and should not be used for drinking.
If you plan to serve food, you must clean up after your event, bring you own garbage bags and separate recyclables. We do have a composter for plant material only.
Smoking is discouraged, if you must smoke bring you own...Expand for more
ashtrays and remove them when you leave. Cigarette butts should not be thrown on the ground. Please leave the garden as clean as you found it and return tables and chairs to their original positions.

We prefer payments be made by Lillian Reyes and must be made before or at the time of your event. Please do not make a payment until your event is confirmed. You can also pay by check or cash, (payable to Lillian Reyes or New York City Parks & Recreation/ GreenThumb ) by either handing it to a confirmed garden representative in the garden or by mailing it to: The Little Garden, c/o Lillian Reyes, 386 East 161 Street Apt 1B, Bronx, NY 10451
