Lily's Story
Life
The pic is my husband, Keith, and I at the Battle Abbey, near our home in Hastings.
I don't suppose anyone remembers this, but I used to write a lot of poetry. Keith writes music, so now I'm scrapping the whole poem thing and trying to learn how to write lyrics. This is a whole different thing, and not easy for me.
I was also always good at English. Yeah. Not anymore. Now that I live in England I find I'm relearning the whole language. It's not just spelling that's different. It's grammar, word usage, and document formatting too. ...Expand for more
I mean - even their paper sizes are different. And don't get me started on the incredible number of ways they have to say the word "intoxicated." Tip to the American visitor - don't try to be polite by calling your butt a fanny. Bad word, man. Really, really bad word.
