Lin's Story

Life I'm now living in the "Sunshine State". My husband Blane and I were married in June of 1988. We moved to Florida in August and never looked back. My son,husband,parents and grand-daughter all live here now. I'm just sorry I waited till I was 40 to leave Pennsylvania. I do miss the people,but I'll never miss the weather. When they say "sunny" Florida they mean it. What a difference it is waking up to beautiful summer days every day of the year. Well almost! With our location in Fort Lauderdale we get to travel short distances to amazing beautiful places. Key West is one of our favorite destinations. We also try to get to Jamaica at least once a year. We've made life long friends on our trips and we meet them at different locations throughout the year. e junk, oops, treasures to pack. We love our new home. It was great decorating for our first Christmas. As usual the tree didn't look that big when I bought it. Feb. 1, 2002 my dad was 80. I guess all our parents are getting up there it's kinda frightening! My mom will be 80 next year. I'm very lucky my dad golfs 3 times a week and mom is still very active. Bye for now *****UPDATE********NOVEMBER 30,2005**** Well we just made it through hurricane season (barely). We had a little damage to our enclosed patio, but all in all we were very lucky. Our son moved to Georgia with his family two years ago so life has been a little lonely. Greg and Chelsey (my son and grand-daughter) just came down for the Thanksgiving weekend it was great being with them wish they didn't live so far away. Merry Christmas to all!!!!
