Linas's Story

Life After grad school I went to Washington DC to work in the office of U.S. Senator Richard S. Schweiker (R-PA). In 1980, with the Reagan victory, I joined his administration and had positions at the Pentagon (Europe-NATO Policy), White House (Office of Public Liaison) and the State Department (Refugee Bureau). In 1990 I established the U.S.- Baltic Foundation (usbaltic dot org) and served as its president for 7 years, raising $6 million and designed democracy building programs for Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania. blished a public relations and business development group, Kojelis & Company (koco2 dot com), which represented Pfizer, Baltic Fund 1, Statoil, Lithuanian Telecom, the U.S. Embassy in Vilnius and the Lithuanian Foreign Ministry. In 2004 I moved to historic Petersburg, Virginia where I continue my consulting work (primary focus, homeland security) and am fully engaged in the restoration of a c.1850 house and the city itself. As of 2007 I am also working part time for the U.S.- Baltic Foundation. Military Retired as Lieutenant from U.S. Naval Reserve.
