Linda's Story
Hi Everybody,
Well lets see, after school I joined the Army, I did three years. In the mea time I got married had a son (who's 34 now). I was stationed in Fort Ord, CA. Then we got station in Fort Hood, TX. Got out the military moved to Charlotte, NC for about a year. Moved back to NJ for several years, got divorced from my husband of 12 years. I met a man who is retired from the Marines. We moved to Jacksonville, NC, which is the home of Camp Lejuene, (a marine base). We moved in 1994, I knew my second husband for 15 years w...Expand for more
e decided to get married. We've been married for ten years. My son and his wife are renting my sister's house in Charlotte, and my sister and her husband
live outside of Charlotte, about 15 minutes. My dad and brother, live in Jellico, TN. For my mom we lost her about 9 1/2 ago to liver cancer, she only knew for 2 weeks, before she passed, so it was a bad time in my life. But now I'm doing Ok. I quit my job of 11 years. I'm went & got my bachlor's degree. Now I am working on my Masters Degree.
So the years have busy.
