My Pets
I have a menagerie! Two dogs, two cats (one is 21 years old!), 3 ferrets, a canary and a fish. Having ferrets is like having four highly intelligent undisciplined two year olds running around the house. They are every Disney movie ever done about animals getting into trouble because of mischief.
My Kids
My eldest got his PHD in Marine Geophysics (guess how long it took me to learn to pronounce THAT one!) and the youngest is the Creative Director for HSN. Both are happily married to incredible women. aying, "Uh, excuse me, I think this is yours"..never managed to find a way to do that with my own kids. I had a very successful career as a stained glass artist. I also wrote several books and videos about the subject, and wrote for the premier magazine for the trade. Each year, I taught at several trade shows, loving every minute of it. I gave up my career 15 years ago to take care of my Mom, who had declining mental and physical abilities. I started doing more photography work and made a career out of that. Then, diagnosed with severe frontal lobe dementia, Mom needed 24 hour constant care. I am still doing that and will continue to do that for as long as I have her.
