Linda's Story

Life My Spouse I began working at Kmart on the first day of classes my senior year and soon after found out that my future husband had a crush on me. He eventually asked me out and we've been together ever since. My Pets I have a 15 year old white toy poodle named yanni, a 9 year old black standard poodle named Titan, an 8 year old black cat named Scruffy and a 5 year old striped tabby named Mikos. All of my kids have rats as pets. My younger two also have frogs and fish. We also have a freshwater aquarium and a salt water aquarium. We lost our 21 year old cat, Sylvester in May 2005.:-( 11-09-2007 We had to put Yanni to sleep in Sept 2007 at the ripe old age of 17. My Kids My daughter, Eleni, was born in 1993. She loves to read and write. She dreams of being a writer some day of fantasy novels. Eleni has changed since she's gotten in High School. She is in the International Baccalaureate Programme and doing very well. Hopefully she'll be able to get some great scholarships with this! My daughter, Emily, was born in 1995. She is very athletic and excels at most anything to do with sports but lately loves baseball. Emily was on the Volleyball team in 2007 and did very well. My son, Nicholas, was born in 1997. He loves Boy Scouts and Baseball. They are all on the honor roll and doing very well in sc...Expand for more
hool. Eleni excels in Language Arts and Emily and Nicholas excel at Mathematics. My husband and I finally got to take a honeymoon! We went to Antigua in September while my mom watched the kids. It was a most wonderful vacation. We spent time lounging on the beach mostly but also explored the reefs around our beach and went kind of like rock climbing all around the beach area. In 2007 we finally took the kids on a real vacation. We went to St. Croix (American Virgin Islands) They loved it and got to explore the reefs while snorkeling. I work at my husband's Chiropractic office three days a week. I enjoy doing all the bookwork that he just hates so it is a good mix. The rest of the week I am a stay-at-home mom running errands and helping with homework. On our off days we enjoy sailing, hiking and caving. The lakes in Kentucky are small but beautiful and very deep since they are all dammed rivers between mountains. Life in Kentucky (besides lack of lakes close to home) is very similar to Michigan. There are many parks to hang out in, people are very friendly. Cost of living is much cheaper! And there are many more trees and green spaces here than I remember in Fraser. But Lexington is growing quickly so we will see how long these last! Shopping is good, as are jobs. All in all, we really like it here!
