Linda's Story
Life
Some of you may remember me as Linda Mason but most should remember me as Linda Caldwell. However I am most referred to as MOM these days. I have three beautiful children. My oldest, Perry (16) is in freshman and on the honor roll. My middle boy, Jack (14) is not too far behind his brother when it comes to grades. He is in the 7th grade. Then I had a large gap (7years) before I had my daughter Natalie (6). You guessed it second marriage. I was fortunate to stay home for two years with her before returning to work. Before I had Nat, I worked for a local brokerage firm downtown for 10 years. I could have returned to the industry but I decided to attempt a new rewarding challenge. Which I managed to succeed. I currently am the Administrative Assistant for the Sex Crimes/Family Violence units with the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department. These units consist of Child Abuse, Domestic Violence and Sex Crimes. My main focus is CODIS Hits(DNA) and maintaining several spreadsheets for the units. Grant it, it's not the highest paying job but it certainly is rewarding. I could not ask for a better bunch of detectives to work for. (29 in total) You may wonder what made me look for this line of work...well that's easy, My husband is a Police of...Expand for more
ficer in the 7th district here in the city. (You know the one...the most dangerous city in the U.S. oh that's right we are now ranked second...you go Detroit but with our fingers crossed we will be number one again.) LOL. So with that all being said I guess you can only imagine that I still live South City. (STLMPD rules) I really am not much further from where I grew up. Speaking of which has changed so much. It's sort of sad to see how much our city has changed in 20+ years. ( I guess that means we are getting old) The house I grew up in looks so different. I had the opportunity to buy my old house when my mother passed away in 96 and in away I regret that I didn't but seeing how much the neighborhood changed I'm kind of glad I didn't. I would love to get back in touch with everyone at some point. I have reconnected with a lot of people from High school thanks to Classmates. As a matter of fact we just had our 20 year reunion last summer. We are old. Anyway, if you are still reading this and remember me in anyway (good, bad, ugly - developing was such a task) I would love to hear from you. Stop by here on Classmates and drop me a line or even just sign my guest book so I know who took the time out of their lives to take a peek at mine.
