Who am I, really? Good question! I'm the 16 year old girl who graduated in 1961 dreaming of going to college, becoming a teacher, and marrying Billy Ray Thomas, and I'm trapped in an old lady's body! I don't know how that happened! I did it all! I married Billy Ray and after 20 years we weren't even friends anymore. We had three kids, so I rapidly became a teacher. We were a Navy family and lived in Tennessee, New Mexico, Florida, Georgia and back to Florida--Key West. And after 28 years of off and on college classes, I finally obtained a degree, in business. Never got to be a school teacher, closest to it was Sunday School teacher! Everett Byrom, a wonderful man and my favorite dentist, swept me off my feet and the next thing I knew I was married again and "other mother" to four more kids. And now I'm surrounded with grandchildren, 14 of them and 3 great-grandchildren. Everyone of them is my very favorite grandchild! And then, I'm a quilter, one of my major passions in life.
