Linda's Story
Hard line Connecticut rebel for the flag along with its documents it represents. Born in Hartford moved to Suffield at 1 a half yrs old with new baby brother. Jonny, big brother Jim & our tough love parents, Harry & Jean. Dad got transfered to West Barrington , R.I., in 1960. Mom didnt like being away from her 2 sisters back in Ct., so Dad got another job & we rented a house on Vale Rd on the Bethel- Brookfield town line while the house on Wood Creek Road was being built in Woodmere Phase 1. Moved in house on July 1963, neighbors were Almquist,( -hey where is Johnny Almquist these days he graduated in 1970 with Jim), the artist Anderson, Pilot Langley. guard with younger brother in 1969 & paraded all over New England with Hubbard's. Jim signed up with AF in 1971 or as no1 in draft hed be in army so he had choice. Then ma & pa moved to Cape Coral Florida with John & I stayed behind vying for assistant manager position at Elaine Powers Figure Salon. When finacee & I split & a.mgr. went to older instructor, moved to Florida in with folks. Been in Fla since 1973 now forty one years. Married 1976, then 3 kids all born in 80s, we split 1991 happily. With 2 associate degrees one in Liberal arts & one in Broadcasting never getting DJ career ended working for time share then retiring early at 55 yars old. Now 61 three grandkids under age of 4, ITS ALL ABOUT THEM NOW-CECI, JAMES & PENNY! MAYBE WRITE A CRAZY FAMILY NOVEL SOME DAY. JUST MAYBE.
