Linda's Story
I'm pretty laid back these days. I like a calm, pleasant, predictable life. I guess I feel the same about my friends. I'm not into pretentious and fair weathered friends. Or people who constantly need drama in their lives. I like easy, simple living. I don't want for much... just to live in comfort is fine with me. As long as I have my family, friends, pets and home, I have everything in life I could ever ask for.
Most of my work time is spent either with my business or substitute teaching for the county school system.
I blow off steam by listening to music, hiking in the mountains behind the house.
Some of the people from my past who I'd most like to see again is Dale Coulthard and Jay Elmore, because I miss them.
My biggest surprise in life was the late birth of my son T.J. I had him when I was just shy of 40.
If I could improve my home, I'd remodel the kitchen and add on an upper floor. My dream home would be some sort of secluded rustic cabin in the mountains.
I've learned from my children, the need for patience, understanding and unconditional love. I've never known love and worry that was so strong.
Some of the teachers I would like to see would be Mrs. Nimox, Mrs. Stringer, Coach Price, Mrs. Wampler...Expand for more
, Sherry & Dave Collins...
I'm truly happiest when I'm spending time with my husband, kids, parents, sibling, and my dearest friend, Mary and her family.
Some of my career goals are to illustrate a children's book or two!
What happened to my first boyfriend??? Oh Geez! His name was Dusty and he was my first little boyfriend when I was in Kindergarten in Arizona. My first crush was guitar player from the group STYX. LOL
My best friend would tell you I'm a nut, but people who don't know me very well would probably describe me as unassuming, I guess.
Most of my trophies consist of sports trophies and art trophies... One Miss PH runner-up trophy.
The one do-over I would do differently would be to change my BA in Fine Arts to some sort of Business. I found that I didn't need a college degree to learn what I was taught in Art. But to have a business degree where I could manage my own or someone else's business would have been a better move.
In 10 years, I hope to get this baby fat off me! I'm going to get there by blood, sweat and tears.
One of my favorite childhood memories is of my grandfather sitting on the front porch of his farm house drinking pop out of a bottle loaded with peanuts! I sure do miss him.
