Linda's Story
Life
I just became a widow on August 9, 2005. My darling husband of 38 years passed away after 12 months fighting cancer. You will all remember him, John H. Metz III. He was a wonderful husband and father, grandfather, son, friend, brother etc.
He will be sorely missed by those who knew and loved him.
His loving wife
Linda Deane Metz
UPDATE: 12/28/2007
Still a widow...have 6 grandkids now. 3 boys and 3 girls. 2 of the boys are new this year. Hope to retire sometime in the next 14 months...want to enjoy the kids more...will be at my job for 25 years by the time I retire...would love to hear from anyone who might remember me from St. Mary's H.S. or even grammar school.
I still am close to Lois (Delaney) Smith.
Workplace
I have worked at Rimex Metals for 22 years. I started there part-time as a secretary/receptionist ...Expand for more
when the children were all in school fulltime.
Three years later I was promoted to Sales. About 5 years ago I was made Inside Sales Manager.
The work is very interesting because we deal with so many facets of industry...elevator, aircraft, trucking, rail etc.
I know a lot about metal, so if anyone needs to know something about stainless steel, aluminum, etc. I'm your girl.
I am now the marketing coordinator and show director for our company.
2012 - Have been retired since Sept 2008...have worked part time here and there. Actually work 1 day a week for son Matt. Now have 8 grandkids...4 of each. Mom Deane lives with me for about 4 years now. She's now my baby. All my children are doing well in their lives and I thank God everyday for that. I am also involved in many ministries at St. Bernadette's Church, in Parlin.
