Life
OMG.... I am 50 years old, if I knew I would live this long I'da taken better care of myself. LOL. Lets see where do I start...after graduation I worked many jobs ...Dunkin Donuts at the crossroads, Nedoffs Rest on Hazle Street, Standard Brands on South Main Street, Saverio's Pizza on Barney Street,Tropic Pet Center in the South Main Plaza and the last and the best my husband and I now own a pizza shop in Larksville called Savoy's Pizza for about the last 12 years. I married my childhood sweetheart in 1975 (married 30 years, together 38 years) We have no children , and devote most of our time to the shop. My husband Bruce is a musician and for the first 15 or so years of marriage spent weekends in local bars where he played. After we bought the shop (which started out in Luzerne and 5 years later bought a building in Larksville,which we live over) the bands ended and we settled into a very comfortable life of just working together and enjoying life. We are open 7 days a week and have not had a vacation in 12 years, but thats ok, bec...Expand for more
ause someone once told me if you enjoy what you do it's like being on vacation everyday and it really is. Most of our customers are more like friends who just happen to pay us when they vist. LOL. I like where we are at at this stage of our lives and hope to continue doing this for sometime yet. As we all have, I have had some loses in my life, first my dad in 1975 6 days after we got married and my best friend Rosemary Ellis in 1986 and than my mom a year later in 1987, I miss them all dearly but know they are forever with me in my heart and helping to guide me on my path in life. Gheesh, I am rambling (did i do that in school?) Anyway thats where I have been, and where I am at, so if anyone wants to stop in and say hi I am easy to find. The shops in Larksville on E Luzerne Ave. (everyone calls it Courtdale Ave tho, as thats what it changes to farther up the road) and it's called SAVOY'S PIZZA and we are open 7 days a week so come on by .Ok I'll shut up now.
