Linda's Story
I married Larry Sargent in June 1968. I have two children, Ryan Sargent who now lives in St. Paul Minnesota and Sheila who lives in Verona WI. I have two grandchildren and one great grandchild. Since graduating from Choctawhatchee High School, I got my Bachelor of Science degree in Biology with a minor in Chemistry and teaching from University of West Florida in Pensacola. I then got a PhD in Genetic Toxicology at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. p in chemical carcinogenesis at McArdle Laboratory for Cancer Research. I did a fellowship at the National Cancer Institute in the Laboratory of Experimental Carcinogenesis. I am now a Research Toxicologist at Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. My research has been focused in occupational cancer.
Music Linda likes includes Stevie Wonder, Bee Gees, Char, Neil Sadaka, the Rolling Stones and a few more 60's 70's artists as well as Jazz and classical music. TV shows Linda likes include NCIS, Scorpion and The Big Bang Theory. I like to hike and spend time with family. Another hobby is science.
