Linda's Story
After graduation from high school I began my next education at MSU. I spent more time at Cheyenne's night club than I did studying the first year and a half. Then one night I met James, my husband, out there. Shortly after we were married (March 10, 1990). We then moved to Olney. I had my first daughter, Kayla, in 1991. She was exactly what I had always wanted. I graduated from MSU in 1993 and began teaching pre-school for children with disabilities in Graham. In 1994 my second daughter, Chambrie, was born. ave asked God for two better kids. They allow me to be the mom I always wanted and always wanted to be. Following Chambrie's birth I started working in Olney teaching special education at the elementary school. I taught for a total of 13 years.
My mother passed away from cancer in 2003 and I began to realize how short life is. I still had dreams I wanted to accomplish so I went back to school at MSU in 2005. I finished my Masters Degree in Special Education in 2007 and am now an Educational Diagnostician. I still live in Olney and work for a special ed. co-op there. I serve Archer City, Windthorst, and Newcastle schools. I love my job, my home and my family.
I look back at my high school years and am surprised at how much I have changed.
