Life
This bio will probably be a work in progress, just like my life. I've been married to Wayne Leong for 20 years, and we have three children. My oldest, Becky, from my first marriage to Ed Triplett, has two daughters, Morgan and Celeste. And, yes, I LIKE being called "grandma"! Becky is enrolled at Le Cordon Bleu cooking school in Orlando and dreams of owning her own restaurant. Michael (Triplett) and Tasha have a baby boy, Caleb. Michael is taking a year off from college but will start back to school soon, majoring in psychology. Daniel, our youngest, is 16 and a junior in high school. He's a talented violinist with the McLean Youth Orchestra and his high school orchestra, but he hopes to major in computer science in college. I enjoyed 26 years as a public affairs officer in the Air Force, retiring as a colonel in 2003. Now, I am a stay-at-home mom and a volunteer. What a change -- but I am loving it!! gh school orchestra's newsletter, work at the school's career center, help out at a food bank, and do whatever needs to be done at our church (from counting money to dusting church pews -- like the Murphy's Oil ladies). For recreation, I go for walks, read (mostly novels), scrapbook, and take ballroom dance and piano lessons. I'm no Ginger Rogers (although Wayne IS a Fred Astaire) and I'll never play a sonata in Carnegie Hall, but I am having fun and keeping challenged. I'm also finally learning how to cook (the guys like most of my creations ... OK, so what if the low-carb orange chicken tasted like chicken a la Kool Aid) and garden (my yard is looking pretty good, but my fingernails are a disaster!). Wayne, Daniel and I are living in the Washington, DC, suburbs. Look me up if you get to the DC area!!!
College
Anyone remember "Mystery Meat" at the cafeteria? Well ... I have a confession to make. I actually kinda liked it!
