Linda's Story
To answer your question, my birthday is December 7th.
Married in 1964 and moved to Edwards AFB,California where I taught 1st and 2nd grade. In 1967, we moved to Patrick AFB, Florida and my Kristen was born. In 1969, we moved back to California to Vandenberg AFB and Karen was born. In 1972, we moved to Kadina AFB, Okinawa Japan and I taught a 4-5 combination for one year and substituted the next year in the DOD schools. I was having dietary issues and it was finally diagnosed as Celiac (gluten free). In 1978 we moved again, and this time to Hanscom AFB, Massachusetts. In 1983 we bought a house in Bedford, MA (next to the base) and the girls and I have lived there ever since. Became separated in 1988 and divorced in 1992. In 1981 I started working as a software technical writer and did that until the market dried up in 2002. Went back to teaching as a substitute and have been doing that ever since.
