Linda's Story
Life
I am a retired teacher of 30 years having been with the Taylor School District. I worked with Special Needs children and loved it. Over this time frame I taught nearly 5,000 kindergardeners with learning problems to read and become self-taught learners. I received my Masters Degree in the Teaching of Reading and worked at a school in the middle of a place called "Crack City" where 9 out of 10 police calls came from that 1 square mile. I taught kdg/ to resolve learning issues before they snowballed into behavior or emotional problems. I was good at what I did and was the anchor person at my school.
I wrote a teaching guide book about my teaching experiences to help new primary teachers with reading and listening skills but need to do something with it one of these days. I just need to tweak it here and there.
I have been married for 27 years to a wonderful man named Wallace C. Winters, Jr. Esq., who is an attorney and mediator in family law practice in downtown Taylor. I am very proud of him for he is known throughout the state in his field. He was responsible for bringing and preserving mediation in Wayne County. He is the President of the State Bar Association.

f wonderful friends and have had loving dogs all along in my life. I'm a PITT MOM who is smart as a whip. If she does something wrong she goes right into her create and waits for someone to close the door without a word. We also have an White Highland Westie who is just plain cute.
Wally and I are quite active in our church. Wally is the Head Elder, Congregation Director and Music Director which includes being the choir director. I enjoy singing in the church choir, making greeting cards, scrap-booking doing political campaigning for the Grass Roots Republican Party, being the Public Relations Director at my church in which I write articles for the News Herald News Paper and doing volunteer work selling Tealighful Tea and Jordan Essential Skin Care Products in which I am my main customer. I attend St. John's Lutheran Church's bimonthly flea markets and am busy with the Ladies Aid Society at the church being the 2011 Woman of the Year.
Since I'm mainly a home-body now-a-days I love being a home maker and entertaining. I love the out of doors and still am THE BEST LANDLADY EVER! I also still have my Real Estate Broker's License with my company called DownRiver Properties where I run it out of my home along with my property managements. Residence 313-295-1361
