Linda's Story

For those of you that didn't know, we graduated in May, I turned 18 in July, and I got married in August all in 1975. I moved to Wapello, Iowa where I got into law enforcement and worked for Louisa County and became a Deputy Sheriff. That career lasted 27 years. I had two wonderful children daughter now 28 and son 25. In 2002 I sadly admit that I got a divorce after 27 years. What can I say, sometimes people change and grow apart. He was a very wonderful man, and will always be very close to my heart. In 2004 I decided to take a new challenge in my life and I moved to Calhoun, Georgia. career and started all over in Customer Service. I started working at Shaw Industries, Dalton, Georgia, carpet capital of the world. I am currently a Support Lead over 17-21 people. Unfortunately due to the economy crunch, volunteer lay offs and possible permanent lay off have occurred. I have met a wonderful man who has a fantastic family that love me dearly. I am so fortunate to have fit in coming from Iowa where I knew nobody. Well thats about it. I am anxiously awaiting to be a Grandma, but do not see that in the near future. So anybody that have any grandchildren out there that want to share, send them my way.
