Linda's Story
Born is Lynwood, CA. Moved 15 times by the time I was 16 years old. Graduated Upland High School in 1965, my brother Jerry graduated 1967. One other younger brother,Monte, graduated Rancho Cordova High School, 1969. I married in 67 gave birth to 2 daughters all in that order. Divorce after 6 years. Remarried 2 years later, divorce within 1 year (I found out it's illegal in this state to not inform your future mate you are a convicted felon before you marry. He was the felon, not me!)Divorce. Marrried a California State Park Ranger in 1978 and remained married until his death in 1995. Purchased my grandparents home in Oceanside and lived for 10 years. Married my next door neighbor in February 2007 and am about to celebrate 3 years. Along the way became a friend of Bill W. You either know about this guy or you don't. 25 years end of February. Currently live in Vista with new husband, sitting on a hill with my animals, I do some desert tortise rescue with San Diego Turtle and Tor...Expand for more
tise Society, I work parttime in my husbands law office and love my life. Many twists and turns but I am blessed with this life and so far, have been able to walk through everything. I just turned 60 years old and that absolutely amazes me. My brother Jerry died last March, my brother Monte is a San Diego County Sheriff. Think
that might surprise everyone at a reunion. I ran a drug treatment program through San Diego County Superior Court for a number of years, I even taught DUI School for a number of years. None of my work was listed on my high school SAT Tests but here I am anyway. Last count, 5 children, 10 grandchildren, 1 dog, 3 cats, 1 fish, 2 tortise with a big heart to take on more if presented as homeless. I even wrote that in our wedding vows and so marrying an attorney, he knows it's a legal deal. He married me and my animals. Life is really good. I miss some of our classmates who have passed on and am continually amazed at those of us still here and doing the deal.
