Linda's Story
I was pretty quiet yet observant in school. Probably because I had left one school and been transferred to another. However, I was deterimined with my crazy dysfunctional family background I would finish and graduate. I had accomplished that and finshed during my anticipated time.
I married while in HS and graduated with a husband in the military who was in another country, my only fans to cheer me on were my brother and sister in law. I was pregnant then with my first child, that died in utero before my full term. Heartbreaking and with no family, my husband was returned to be with me during the agonizing process of a decision to surgically remove the fetus. I almost died prior to any procdure because I was carrying a dead organism that could have poisoned my system.
Fast forward I had two healthy children, born full term, divorced afer 7 years and ventured out on my own to discover life and myself. My oldest finished college and I returned to college while working full-time and obtained a BS degree in Organizational Management 10 years later. My youngest child went to college and is in his Junior year but stalling because of .... who knows..... my reason may be different from his. I strive to enjoy life. Travel, do what makes me happy and be around progressive, positive people.

ear old grandmother who passed in 2007. RIP. She and her husband have a strong legacy in Augusta where he is honored at Fort Gordon's Signl Corp museum, you can look him up under "Percy D. Ricks, Jr."
I have ventured to embrace creating an organization "Wings of an Eagle" to work with aging out the system foster kids, to inspire , encourage, give direction and aided support to guide them to independent lifestyles by preparing them for real life challenges.. If you know of any group homes, chiild support groups that you could lead me to please contact me and I would love to sit down and talk with these group of young people. I currently am re establishing my career working two p/t jobs. One as a substitute school teacher in elementary near the infamous schooll of the President's daughter and working part time as a theater assistant both I love.
After over 20 years of now of being single and on my own, I am embracing the possibility of a mate in my life and settling down again.
Ciao, and I look forward hearing from those of you, who truly remember me. From Mr. Howards Black History, Ms. Gant's typing class, Beautiful woman from Economics who encouraged me in a kind supportive way. All the understanding, empathetic peers who showed unyielding love through my somewhat difficult journey..... Kim, I love you, Gloria, you have been a branch of the tree of my life too, much love to you as well.
