Linda's Story

I was born in Athens Tennessee but lived in Riverside California from age 8 with my parents. John and I married August 19 1966. We met while he was in the service at March Air Force Base and we were together during my high school years. We have two sons and one Grandson who will be 16 August 30th. We have lived in Florida since 1981, I worked for the Duval County School System in Florida and retired slightly early in 2005. John had already retired three years earlier from CSX Railroad plus my mom was in a nursing home so by retiring I could be witrh John and take care o...Expand for more
f her needs. She passed away in 2008. My dad just passed away in April this year 2011. I didn't think I was ready to retire but found after a few months that it was the best thing I could have done. I guess giving up something I had been doing for 22 years was a little scary but once done I never looked back. I hope to hear from some of you soon. I tried to connect on Facebook and have connected with a couple of classmates but it is hard to find some of my female classmates not knowing their married names. I'm hoping the classmates website will work to connect with more.

Two eggs hatched out of five so far! This is blue bird house in back yard. One out front has five unhatched eggs! They must be hungry!
Chris gave us a cherry tomato plant! Picked a few off today. Hope the birds and deer leave it alone! They are good! He’s moving to a house so he brought here. He can come get what he wants when he’s here!
Cabbage brought to us this morning right out of our neighbors garden! Yum! Got to try growing some. We’ve had the cauliflower! Yum!!!

This is stag-horn that's on driveway side that was in that ligustrum
Blew our cast iron bench from the bed by the oak tree to the lawn. I was out with Sophie early and don't recall seeing it. Kind of scary thinking about it tumbling like a weed. It's still there.
