Linda's Story
My Life
After high school I was married and had 3 children I was divorced in 1989 and went back to school to get my accounting degree.
In 1990 I started working for a mortgage company doing home loans. I loved the feeling of putting families in homes and doing something positive for my community.
In 1997 I opened my own mortgage company "Americas Choice Mortgage" and in May of 2008 went back where I started from and became a part of Guarantee Pacific Mortgage which is an affiliate of Wells Fargo we provide servcies within the Prudential California Real Estate office in Modesto, CA. With the real estate crunch in California this has been one of my better choices.
My son Jeremy works in the public sector and is getting ready to go back east as one of the State Team members for the FLW Bass Group to compete nationally in Bass Fishing.
My daughter Carrie lives
in Oklahoma City, has 3 chil...Expand for more
dren of her own, a 6,3 and 1 year old, along with 3 step children (they are still ours) a 16 year old daughter and boys over 20. She handles it wonderfully for someone who was never getting marrie.
My youngest daughter Shannon went to work for the post office and started out in Dos Palos, then Los Banos and now works in Modesto. She just auditioned for a part in a movie so we are all keeping our fingers crossed. She has a 6 year old daughter.
I am very proud of them all.
As for me, I ride a Harley 1200 low when the weather permits, Bass fish with my son in tournaments when I can and shoot pool. I will be in Las Vegas May 7-15 to compete in the BCA Nationals. Looking forward to a great time.
I just feel too young to be this old. My grandmother that raised me lived to be 100 I hope I am as lucky as she was. One thing for sure, the closer any age gets (once you are over 21) the younger it looks
