Linda's Story
March 2009 New Update...
I'm moving to Anchorage in April to help family here after the death of my sister. If anyone wants to get in touch let me know.
Very Sad update...My sister Wanda Jolicoeur passed away February 23, 2009
in Anchorage... Please pray for my family.
Update! Yikes the last time I wrote was almost 8 years ago... As I stated below time does fly doesn't it?
I am working full time as a receptionist after burning out as a senior services case manager. Social Service can challenge you for sure.
I am still living on the Kenai Peninsula. 3 of my children live in Anchorage and my youngest daughter is living in Phoenix,AZ with her sweetheart and 4 boys.
I have 8 other grandchildren and a great grandaughter now. I love creating things and design jewelry.. actually I started about 15 years ago but am into it pretty seriously. I also love photography and capturing the beauty here in Alaska. I hope to enter a photo in the Fur Rondy this year.
I would love to hear from any of you out there.
Blessings,
Linda
Life
Since graduation 34 years ago! WOW! Where did the time go?: ) I have mostly stayed in Alaska. I have been blessed with 4 Children and 6 grandchildren. This past year for the first time I am on my o...Expand for more
wn. My youngest daughter moved out and I went through a bit of empty nest, single and menopausal possibly (mentalpausal!)HA! : ) You get the picture...I went to work out on an oil platform in Cook Inlet. I am the night cook/baker on the Osprey. My shift is 12 hours per day x 14 days, and then 7 days R&R. It's beautiful out there. The sunrises and sets have been incredible. Almost everyday I wonder about how many people never get to see such splendor, and I thank my God for sharing it with me. (I do have some photo's I could e-mail if anyone is interested.) I hope I never get tired of seeing Alaska's beauty. Earlier this month of June, 2001 myself and my 3 older sisters had a family or "Sisters" reunion at Kincade park in Anchorage. It was great to see them and their families again. One thing I did this past year was find family I didn't realize I had. After my mom died 10 1/2 yrs. ago I found out that I had a differnt dad... Earlier this year with much determiation I found a sister and 3 brothers on the internet! I have talked on the phone and emailed but not met them as of yet. My maiden name could have been Linda Sherman. Life holds many twists and turns it seems...
Love and Blessings to you All!
Linda
