Linda's Story
April 2021
My husband, Tommy and I have just celebrated our 50th wedding anniversary. We are both retired and we are living in Loganville, Ga. We have two children. Chris and his wife are both teachers and are living 45 minutes away. Our daughter, Patricia lives 20 minutes away with her two children.. In April of 2019 Tommy was diagnosed with ALS. Right now he is totally confined to a wheelchair. We just enjoy each day that is given to us.

. For the last year of his life he was totally paralyzed. His speech was gone in 2020. It was expected but still a shock. He seemed to be doing ok and then one morning he just didn't wake up. Four months later my 98 year old mother fell and broke her hip. I have been taking care of her since then. Since she is back to being able to do all things for herself again, I will be going home. At 98 1/2 she still lives on her own, takes care of everything herself and before her fall she was still driving. An AMAZING woman!
