Linda's Story
To avoid the risk of turning this into a puke inducing exhortation of the philosophical ruminations of a smart ass graduate of the Livergulch class of 1965 (whatever ever happened to..) I'll make this brief. Yeah, like that's gonna happen.
Graduated, June 1965 like the rest of you Cowboys. Went to Chabot for all of about 30 seconds. Dropped out. Ronnie Gillette, off to war in the jungles of Vietnam, broke up with me when he found out. He wanted me to go to college and he was pissed. That worked out for the best. He and my good friend Marsha got together and appear to be in it for the long haul. Awesome!
Went to work for Delta Air Lines, Philippine Airlines and eventually Qantas. I made good use of my free travel perks. Saw the world, had some wild times, and left my mark. Luckily I didn't get caught! At least it hasn't popped up on youtube. You can ask John Cuthbertson about the craziness. It was either his luck or misfortune to join in on one of those adventures when he was stationed in Germany. Munich! Oktoberfest! 'nuf said! In fact, you'd probably HAVE to ask J.C. 'cause it was my birthday and I was passed out. Good thing there were 3 of us on that trip - it took 2 of 'em to carry me. Don't even ask what other substances may have been involved - I wouldn't admit it anyway. All I know is that somehow we ended up in France. Good Times!
I went back to school along the way and got my degree. Gillette was right!
Met my love,Tom,at Delta. We had a son. John is almost 30. He's named after my dad who's alive and kicking out there in Springtown. He and his wife have blessed me with 3 gorgeous granddaughters.

r hours and hours not knowing what was happening or if your family is safe. I took a hard look at my 12 hour stressful management days and chucked it all. Started selling real estate and started breathing again.
Tom died way too young a few years later. I married my husband, Ted, and set out raising boys, his and mine. Full house! We moved to Manteca (near Stockton) and I became the soccer, baseball, basketball, track mom. They're all married off now and busy providing us with more grandchildren (11 so far and counting.)
My husband had a heart attack at 48 and some years later, an OTJ injury that once again changed my priorities.
We decided that life was for living and not just existing. It's just too freakin' short. We paid off everything, sold most everything and moved our little corner of the world to Mexico. We live in Ajijic (Ah-ha-heek - say that fast 3 times after you've had a couple of Margaritas,) a little village on Lake Chapala outside Guadalajara. Google it - you may decide to move here yourself. It's paradise.
I plan on staying here until I know for sure that the statue of limitations has run out on the capers of the notorious Gay Nineties Pizza Beer Keg Theft Ring. You know who you are! :-)
Life is good.... no, life is great.
My brother, Randy lives in Hayward. Sisters Kim and April live in Oregon. All doing well. Who cares!? - they went to Granada!
I've finally learned how not to sweat the small stuff because in the end-it's all small stuff (I plagiarized that from somewhere - it's corny but true) Looking forward to seeing old (oops, poor choice of words. Crap - 45 years?!) friends at the reunion. And, yes, still crazy after all these years!
Hasta Luego
