Linda's Story

Life I'm married 49 years to Jim, the guy I dated in school. We had 2 grown kids but, unfortunately my son passed away in 2015. It was very difficult. My daughter is married and lives in Minneapolis. She visits often. I am now retired after 31 years in Underwriting (16 as Supervisor at Wawanesa Insurance in Mission Valley. I enjoyed that time but am much happier in retirement. el and we have taken several trips & cruises to wonderful places I never thought I would see. Best cruise: The four Hawaiian islands and then south to Christmas Island, Bora Bora, Moorea and Tahiti. So beautiful. I still live in the same neighborhood as CPHS so if you're in Chula Vista & you see a yellow T-Bird or a blue Smart Car driven by a woman with bad hair and a smile on her face, it's probably me!

Riki & Terry out to dinner late night in Minneapolis. We have arrived at destination number 1. Good trip so far, only mishap is that I left a tote bag at a Denny's in Witchita. Not a huge crisis but it has my kindle in it!
Visited our friend in No. Wisconsin who carved our bear, raccoons and wolf/eagle sculpture. This is our new raven! We will pick it up when we go back through on the way back!
Happy 45th birthday to my beautiful son. I miss him everyday.

My sister Ginny would have been 70 years old today. I wish she was given that time, she’s been gone too long. Everyone loved her!

After just 20 short years our dryer gave up on us so we had to go shopping! They sure have a lot more bells and whistles these days...hope that’s not a bad thing!

49th Anniversary today! Going to Ruth Chris Steak house for dinner. We went there for our 47th but missed last year because Jim was so sick. Glad we are still here to see number 49!
When me and my Underwriting unit were Mistress Mary, quite contrary, with her garden and the pretty maids all in a row! I can’t remember the year but it was before we went to cubicles and look at the size of that computer!
