Linda's Story
I have been a Supervisor for a Major Airline for the past eighteen years. My job is challenging and ever changing. Working for an airline has provided me many opportunities for travel both inside and outside the United States. I'm sorry to say that I haven't utilized those benefits to fullest extent outside of the U.S. but plan to do so real soon, LOL.. Love to Travel !!!
I have one son from my marriage and one step-son. My son has blessed me with two beautiful grandsons, seven and nine years of age. What a joy Grand-kids are. Like someone said, It would be nice to have your grand-kids first in life. No expectations just pure enjoyment. :]
I lost my beloved husband of 36 years unexpectedly to an aneurysm a little over a year ago. 2009 was a rough year for our family with his loss, but we are doing Great and are learning to create different lives for ourselves.
Now, A Funny Story... Don't know if those of you that return or live in Az have driven by your old neighborhoods. My younger brother, who also graduated from M...Expand for more
HS came home for a visit from Dallas, Texas a couple of years ago. He wanted to drive by the "Old Neighborhood" to see how it looked and take some photos of the Maryvale area for himself and to show our parents. So he drives by the cul-de-sac, and pulls up a short distance from our old house on 57th lane. He opens the door and steps out of the car door just to snap a few photos. A man comes out of the front door of the house, shaking his fist and yelling ( in a language he was not familiar with) and running towards the car. He jumped back into the car the drove off. He said the man ran after the car yelling and shaking his fist. My brother said he was scared to death and has not gone back. Of course being an "older sister", I could not pass up the opportunity to harass him about being chased out of our old neighborhood. Those opportune moments don't happen that often... LOL
I would love to hear from any of my friends from JF Long or Maryvale. I will get a picture up soon.. Working on it !
