Linda's Story

Wow - My Story???? Feel like I've lived several lives and been reincarnated already! I have been truly blessed. What an adventure life is, ever so sweet. Any heartache we endure makes that sweetness a nectar we swarm around and savor. A shy, introverted, long, lanky woman/child in HS morphed into an intelligent, witty, compassionate and confident woman and it only took about 30 or so years! :) 1. The metamorphosis began with a marriage right out of HS that lasted nearly 30 years. Completing my Associates Degree. Becomming a mother with three children born between 1970 - 1977. Owned and operated small business, worked in health care field. Completing my Bachelor Degree and continued working in a career that I loved - serving the elderly and people with disabilities. Blessings of love given and lost. 2. Single mother, took a second job to keep head above water and food on the table. Wonderful transition period in my life. Blessed again, with opportunity to learn how beautiful life can be. 3. Married my true soul mate. Had 12 glorious years together before he died. Grand children arrived and got a second chance to nurture. Blessings and heartache...Expand for more
abound. 4. Long healing from loss, but the sunshine is always there over the new horizons when we are ready and healed. Volunteer some of my time consulting with families to prevent nursing home placement... work on local and national political campaigns and advocating for national health care reform with home care provisions. 5. Have a "bucket list". Sailing & Kayaking are crossed off. This year it's cross-country skiing. 6. Spend time with grandchildren reading "each, peach, pear, plum". dancing to music and playing anything our hearts desire! 7. Dating and time with family and friends too! So that's a little synopsis of my story - what about you???? Dinah Maria Mulock Craik (1826-1887) from A Life for a Life Oh, the comfort¿ the inexpressible comfort of feeling safe with a person¿ having neither to weigh thoughts nor measure words, but pouring them all right out, just as they are, chaff and grain together; certain that a faithful hand will take and sift them, keep what is worth keeping, and then with the breath of kindness blow the rest away. Thank you, George.
