Linda's Story

I hope all of you will remember my friendly smile and enthuasiasm as I tried to greet each of you in the school halls. I really enjoyed going to school and being with my friends. Especialy Ky Landis (sadly, now deceased), Linnea Burden, Sue Ann Bailey, Glenda Bogard and Dave Petersen. Why did I single out these? The reason is because we spent twelve years going to school together. We all started school together at Riverdale Grade School and graduated together. Travel? I have enjoyed a three week round trip cruise to AK. We were able to get really close to the awesome fjords and see them calving. Chuck and I took a 10 day trip to Matzatlan with dear long time friends. We would love to go again. Hawaii was OK the water beautiful and the scenery terrific but all in all it was just too touristy, and then there were the Cane spiders, lizards crawling about while you ate in fancy restraunts and the torrential downpours. Hobby? First of all endeavoring to serve our creator each day in all that I do. Secondly of course--Chuck, my family and many friends of all ages. You can find me in the swimming pool at Seaside RV on Tuesday ...Expand for more
and Friday mornings. On sunny days the weeds in my flower beds are being tormented by me. We enjoy camping in the summertime, usually at Nehalem Falls, Lake Merwin up by Cougar WA. located below St. Helens or at Spruce Run on the Nehalem River off hwy 26 out of Seaside. My favorite spot is on Neakanie Mt. over looking the ocean, how about you? I am still teaching piano and enjoy getting together with friends and families at their house or ours and singing Karaoke. I love; people, traveling, sunsets, the ocean, lakes, streams, waterfalls, forests, bridges (especialy covered bridges), flowers, butterflies, listening to old time Rock and Roll, playing cards and sharing good times over a cocktail with friends. Some of you know it was in Oct of '72 while Don and I were living up the Miami River that we had a housefire. We suffered the loss of two children in that fire along with everything we owned. Naturaly children are very treasured by me. It is one of my goals in life to help make each child I meet feel needed and valued. So you see I am still a country girl at heart who does enjoy a trip to the big city now and then for a shopping spree.
