Linda's Story
Life
I have gone back to school to finish my education. Even though I earned my license as a psychologist 20 years ago, I never finished my degree. I was able to become licensed with my Master's Degree. I had to drop out of school because I had to have neurosurgery.
I now have my PhD in Health Psychology. I graduated in May 2010 and walked down the aisle at my hooding ceremony in Minneapolis MN in July 2010. I met a fellow graduate who is now serving as my intern while he works toward his license. He is one of two interns working under my supervision. I am an expert in patient care and the doctor-patient relationship and factors that influence this relationship and health outcomes.
As far as my life goes, I got married when I was 19 years old to Lou Erlich and we are still married. We just celebrated our 39th wedding Anniversary. We were married June 25, 1967. We had a daughter, Sheri Felice on June 25, 1969 and a son Robert Todd on December 31, 1971. We bought our first home near Red Lion Road and the Boulevard in 1969 and liv...Expand for more
ed there until 1978 when we moved to Bucks County and we have been living there since then.
My husband was a science teacher when we first married and was appointed Science Department Head in 1976. He has been retired since 2001.
I went back to school in 1980 and got my bachelor's degree in psychology in 1983, my Master's in 1985 and my license as a Psychologist in 1996. I am in private practice in Fairless Hills with 2 partners.
I was involved in two major automobile accidents in 1987 and 1991. The first damaged my neck and the 2nd my right foot. That is why I was unable to complete my eduication until now.
My daughter, Sheri, is married and has 2 children, Ryan 5 and Emily 2. You can see their pictures. She is a teacher in Willingboro and chief negotiator fir her union.
My son Rob will be attending the London University of The Arts in October. He is moving to London in September.
My husband now volunteers for Aark, a wildlife rehab Center in Newtown, PA. He has worked with all sorts of animals including a baby bald eagle.
