Linda's Story
Linda's schools include Calhoun High School. I attended Victoria Junior College and became an LVN. I decided a nurse can get a job anywhere so I bought a one way ticket toHonolulu, Hawaii. Flying in at 4:30 pm over the island was a dream come true or I had died and gone to heaven!! Hawaii was the place for me.
I managed to be a beach bum for 3 months and this being the Vietnam Era I had a date for breakfast, lunch and dinner!! No kidding it was 10 guys to 1 female in 1969. All kidding aside relocating from Port Lavaca to Paradise----
What can I say??
I met my soulmate (Bob) and we will be celebrating our 45th this October. We have 2 sons (Brandon, 39) and (Ryan, 37). No grandchildren as of yet??

oner here in Hawaii.
I was an avid runner, biathlete and completed many marathons, triathlons in my younger days. However, after completing my last and final ultra marathon of 100k; I was forced to retire and hang up the running shoes! I chose not to die yet so I took up tennis and soccer. My husband and I coached youth soccer and high school tennis. It was so much fun I decided to play myself. What was I thinking?? At least I was given the opportunity to play with a women's soccer team from Chicago and we placed in the top 3 nationally!
I still managed to be employed and retired after 43 yrs. of nursing. I would say Hawaii has been good for me and each day I wake up and look out my window to see the beautiful blue ocean. I tell myself, "Lucky I live Hawaii"!
