Linda's Story
I have been married for 47
years to my husband who retired from Citgo Petroleum in Lake Charles, La. I have one son, Jay Gallagher, from a previous marriage and we have a daughter, Kristen. Jay played football at McNeese State University in Lake Charles from 1981-1986. Kristen graduated from LSU and is a medical technologist. We have 2 granddaughters who live in Shreveport. Mathematics. I retired from teaching high school math in May of 2004, then taught a few semesters at McNeese State University. I still do quite a bit of tutoring in high school mathematics. I bet Mrs. Craddock would never believe I ended up teaching geometry, Precalculus and AP Calculus. Since retirement, I have time to play on the computer, quilt, read, go out to lunch with other retired friends,and volunteer at our church. All in all, I love retirement and recommend it highly.
