Anyone out there remember the Clifton High School Overseas Correspondence Committee? It was a group that a CHS junior Karen Gallagher & senior Ellen Zar & I started at Clifton High in 1968 to show support for our servicemen & women stationed overseas by writing them letters. we had an overwhelming response from CHS students who wanted to write to our troops. Little did I know then that when Karen encouraged me to take a serviceman's letter & write someone myself that I would wind up married to him! Karen, are you out there?? Would sure love to hear from you or anyone else who wrote to our troops 41 yrs. ago!
