Linda's Story
Hi ! I was only at Woodlawn my senior year. Our family moved from Edmondson Village to Westview that year, so it was a scary thing to meet all new friends. Everyone was great, and we were the third graduating class (if I remember correctly) from a brand new school! Memorable year, as we lost our President Kennedy in November. I was in Mrs. Evans' Spanish class when we received the news. Next, I graduated from Towson State College (as it was called then) and became an elementary school teacher for the next 31 years. Met my husband the first year of teaching at the Club Venus! How's THAT for...Expand for more
going back in the "Way-Back Machine?!!" Taught in Baltimore County for six years and then moved out into the country, in Mt. Airy, where I taught the remainder of my career. What a job! Wouldn't have traded it for anything different. Still in Mt. Airy for 46 yrs. this May with same husband for almost 51 years! Son Andrew (elec. engr) and wife have 3 daughters, 2 of whom are identical twins! Had to miss the reunion in 2014.....had a spine operation scheduled that day. All is good. I think about friends often from Woodlawn HS, Edmondson HS, and Towson (State College). Very fond memories!
