Linda's Story
Where to start....I am currently living in Fayetteville, NC.
I've been married and divorced twice, and then in a 15 year relationship and now single again. I lived in Anchorage until 1994 then moved to Homer until I came to Germany in 2005. We left Germany in 2009 and moved to Ft. Bragg, NC. I later moved to Lake Orion, MI for 5 years and then returned to Fayetteville, NC to be near my youngest daughter and grands.
For hobbies, I do beadwork, mostly jewelry (I'm a Swarovski crystal addict)and make cloth dolls. Over the years I've dabbled in lots of different crafts from candle making to quilting. I also love to play World of Warcraft and read.
Over the years I've had a gazillion jobs. The main ones would be hairstylist, restaurant owner/manager, aircraft parts saleperson, fisherman's accountant and now I'm managing a digital training center for the Army. Lots of other filler jobs over the years but most not worth mentioning. I've been poor, disgustingly well off, well off, and now just poor again...lol. Actually I'm just travel broke and that's not so bad!
During all ...Expand for more
that I was mom to 2 lovely daughters who have presented me with 4 grandkids that I absolutely dote on. Selena, my oldest, lives in Michigan with husband, 17 yo daughter and 14 yo son, 3 dogs, rabbits, a cat, lizards and God knows what other critters dujour.
Rae will retire from the Army in another 10 years. As I mentioned, she has 1 daughter 4 yo and a son 9 yo. 2 dogs and a cat. McKinley, aka Mykie or princessa, was recently diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes and that has pretty much taken control of our lives as we stumble through multiple daily glucose readings and insulin injections; all the while scared spitless that we're not doing things correctly and we'll further damage our babydoll. Myk's diabetes is the reason we will be returning to the states, probably Fort Bragg, NC. Rae recently remarried to a great guy that unfortunately spends more time deployed than he does at home.
Well, fairly boring reading but that's my life story without going into all the drama which probably would have been a lot more interesting...lol. While the read is boring, my life rarely was.
