Linda's Story
Life
I am on my second marriage and have three children,Merrida 23, Laurel 21 and Randall 16 and a set of new twin grandaughters...yep I am a grandmother and lovin it! I got married in 1983 and had three kids but we separated and divorced in 1998. I remarried in 2004 to someone I met at work, Robert Wright. I went to college first at San Angelo State and then transferred to Texas Tech. I received a doctorate in Molecular Biology in 1995 but have always worked in the industrial side of agriculture my entire career and I am currently the Cotton Research and Development Manager for Bayer CropScience. If you are planting FiberMax seed you are planting one of the products I along with countless others developed. I still have a home in Shallowater,Texas but also one in Belgium ...Expand for more
where our research is headquartered. I spend about half my time in the Lubbock area and the other half in Europe...lots of time on a plane because I travel alot with my job. I am currently an ex-pat in Belgium but will return to live in Shallowater within 2 years. My husband has a joint appointment between TTU and Texas A&M as a professor and research scientist within the Plant and Soil sciences Dept of TTU where he teaches advanced genetics and Ag Biotechnology. We have to spend alot of time apart but that makes all the days together that much sweeter. We are long standing members of Aldersgate Methodist Church in Lubbock so drop by one Sunday you will find my husband and maybe even me if I am in the country behind the coffee bar! We love visitors and it's a great place to be!
