Linda's Story
Do you remember what we were like as the class of 74?
I still have an attitude. ( a good one) We refused to have a class trip for political reasons. We are now all 50 plus, and are in for the ride of our lives. This is open for interpretation...could mean aging gracefully, or the economy digressing more etc. (On the upside, buy foreclosures now). I voted for Obama. What, a stimulus package for employers? Do you think this will work? Do you think it will create more jobs? Something needs to be done. Do you think we should have unified health care? Do you think we should make all of the illegal's legal? I do, make everyone pay taxes using the same name every year. Do you realize how many names each illegal immigrant uses? At least four, perhaps your Aunt's or neighbor social security number, and mind you it is better if you are of the unliving if you have yours stolen (less to cope with) And yes, we have to all make the planet respectably clean for our children. After school...I did what I wanted to do! I eventually studied, and opened a store in Anderson SC called All About Balloons. The store was a 1700 sq ft location in the heart of the South. I became a makeup artist, and balloon designer, as well as retail entrepreneur. I created balloon drops and decor for Bush's advisory committee when he campaigned in our town. Now that he is out of office and his big money Texas oil friends are no longer needing him or vice versa. Well, we shall see what happens. Can oil prices at the pump really drop $3.49 cents in a supply and demand situation. I guess they can. lol. It is sorta surreal that gas prices are staying economical. I wish I was an intercontinental fly on a wall. lol
I only have one regret, I did not adapt Mother Earth News Concepts into my lifestyle.
On the short of the long, I am now in Maryland, have unloaded my 300 plus costumes in storage, and I am the Office Manager for a .com company. Life is good. :)
