Linda's Story

Life Yes, I'd like what's behind door number 2. How easy could it be to make that decision? It depends on how much you have to lose. I try to make my choices on stride… analyze the outcome to determine which choice is better for me. Sometimes these choices do backfire, regardless on how much thought we have put into them. If you sit on a choice you have to make, you may make a late decision and ruin your chances. That is the implementation of risks and sometimes what you have to do to live life. Those chances may only come along once, and not taking those chances when deep inside you want to, could affect you for the rest of your life. These opportunities occasionally need to be approached so you don't miss out on the things you could have in life. We tend to avoid those choices to prevent ourselves from being put in a poor position. These positions are not always the outcome and we could think about them so much that it will prevent us from taking that chance. You're taking a bigger risk by getting in your car each day than some of those choices you think way too much about. With this being said, I am sitting on a huge choice I have to make right now, and I feel as if it is something I need to address with haste. It could greatly affect my life, and either way I go, it's not a bad outcome… only a different one. I feel that if I make the choice either way I will miss out on something that I could have had. What puts the stopper on this decision is the question that plagues me: Is this something that could really happen, or not? This is the crucial moment of decision making and how it could make us or break us. The times when we need to accept the challenges put forth to us and accept the outcome whether good or bad. I'm fighting this decision regardless on my needing to make one. Welcome to my arena. School School.......Biggest Crush...... Tim Wommack(don't tell) SSHHHHHHHH! Teacher that inspired me? - Dr. Kelly Would I do it all over again? - If I could for one day with what I know now..... HECK YEAH!!!!!!!!! I'd say...watch out! Now I wouldn't care if I really knew you or not - -I would make sure people were having fun.... too much stress in life... people need to l...Expand for more
ighten up. Funniest, happiest memories? - Ummmmm, Huh...tough one. I was actually shy and quiet to the ones I did not know. For the ones that knew me - they are saying right now that is a load of crap. ...... I'd say anything that had to do with Dr. Kelly....... oh and David Bush and John Burchfield.... seems they liked to play hide and seek with my glasses...... Hence if I could go back for one day... I'd say RUN! LOL! College College was college....what else is there to say...you go to get your degree. Didn't go to make friends...went to get my RN and that is about the end of that.... Though I did enjoy my rotations, especially in surgical and emergency medicine. But by the time I went to get my degree, I just wasn't in that juvenile state of mind. Although, I like to have fun...and a lot of it, it was with adults. Do plan to go back to finish my MD, but that will come later, my family comes first and no piece of paper could equal to that of raising three succesful, well rounded funny, beautiful children.....that is worth more than any degree or piece of paper. Military I went into the Military a few months after graduation. Scariest thing is I had to cut ALL my hair off!!!!!!!!!! YUK!!!!!!! I did enjoy bootcamp - yeah right - but I was in the best shape I had ever ever been in. Was yeoman/secretary in our company and also athletics petty officer. After that went to Great Lakes, Il. SOOOOOOOOOO cold, but I had a lot of fun there......won't say any more than that. But I met a lot of cool people that I have lost track of. Went there for Corps school/nursing. Went Back to Alabama, realized that I truly hated it there and went back to Orlando. Then Virginia and on to Idaho. Didn't think I would like Idaho, but I loved it there. The Grand Tetons in Wyoming make for beautiful skiing. I also met some very, very special people there. Still remain in contact with them. Wouldn't trade military for anything, it was a great experience...but I also would not want to do it again. After that I left the military and moved to N.C. then California for 5 years and then back here. I will forever be here.... I love Raleigh, N.C. and I have been here for 14 years.
