Linda's Story

A few days ago I decided to get a paid Classmates membership, and in the process they removed my Free profile and all the pictures I had posted. So - I am going to try and find the pictures again and write a new profile. Since high school I graduated from University of Illinois with a BS in Music Education and have played viola in the San Jose Symphony and the Richardson (TX) Symphony Orchestra, but have not played recently. I moved to California almost immediately after graduating from college and there I substitute taught at the elementary school level, was married, my son was born, played in the San Jose Symphony, and held office/secretarial positions at Monsanto Opto-electronics and Intersil. I moved to Texas in 1977, ... to be continued. I retired in July, ...Expand for more
2003. In August, 2010, I purchased a 1902 farmhouse and 12+ acres in east Texas. Originally I purchased it to be a weekend home near my son and his family (2 miles down the road), however, I fell in love with the fresh country air, stars instead of smog in the sky at night, and all the benefits of country life. I sold my Richardson home and have been a full-time farmgal . A friend has Tennessee Walker horses on my pastures and I enjoy watching the horses from the porch. My interests include traveling, quilting and other fabric crafts, antiquing, collecting sewing machines (I currently have 24 - over half are antiques), and reading when I have the time. My boyfriend recently purchased a motorhome, and we plan to see a lot more of the US as soon as he retires..
