Linda's Story
In a nut shell, I married my high- school boyfriend soon after graduating from Northern Lebanon High. (We have been married for 46 years this December!) My husband served in the military and I worked small part time jobs briefly and then we started a family. Later I worked as an administrative assistant for 35 years, 27 of those years with the Tulpehocken Area School District and the other years with PA Wing Civil Air Patrol. I retired in 2007. We had three children, two boys and a girl. We lost our middle son to cancer when he was only 30 years old. The loss of our son is still very hard for me. He was a wonderful and loving son. We do have two adorable grandsons, one of which was his child and he looks just like his father! The other grandson, is my daughter's 2-1/2 year old bundle of energy.
What I remember of my years in No...Expand for more
rthern Lebanon, was that I enjoyed being on the basketball team. Was the head majorette in the junior high band front and a member of the photograpy club for several years. I was a cast member for our class plays. (I was always cast as the "little girl" in our class plays as I looked so young.) Yes I was once a very tiny girl! I was also in chorus. I loved making others happy and enjoyed doing things for them. Some of my best years were when I got my driver's license and I could drive my 1954 Ford to school. (I loved racing it too!) Good thing my dad never found out!! Since I had senior license, I did most of the driving when "the girls" wanted to go to the "Dixie" or just cruise the streets. Hanging with the girls from my class and sometimes with upper and under classmen, was so much fun and I will remember those times forever!
