Linda's Story
Life
Continuing to stay busy with both personal and professional life. Still teaching at Montgomery Blair High School--34 years and counting. Hubby Rich is continuing to paint. Sons, Eric (26) and Davey (23) are both doing well! Eric graduated 12/05 from UMCP with a degree in Comp. Sci. and is employed as a Software Engineer. Davey is at UMCP majoring in Environmental Policy AND is an accomplished musician--his current band is going strong.
High School
I have such fond memories of my six years at Kennedy--I'm certain that is why I continue to enjoy my job so much. What incredible mentors we had then--"Uncle Don" Springer, Mary Pardue, Kathy Henry Nave, Frank Masci, Silvia D'Aurora Reising, Vaughn Gary, and of course, Dr. Emma!
College

igh school and then FOUR colleges in four years towards one degree! St. Francis and Loretto were quite a change from a "liberal, experimental" high school. Too much of a "big city" girl to stay there too long. On to George Washington for summer school in 1972. Started at Dunbarton only to find out that my alma mater would close their doors in two years. Did summer school at Dunbarton that summer as I worked nearby at The National Child Research Center. Started the fall at American University full time while working part-time still as a bookkeeper at NCRC. A.U. was able to arrange my student teaching in MCPS at Northwood from January to April of 1974. I actually started teaching on May 1, 1974 and my degree arrived by mail from South Bend, Indiana in June!
