Linda's Story
Life
I've lived in Dayton all of my life and retired in 2010 from a machine embroidery business I started in my home in 1992. I worked at NCR for 18 years and was a downsizing victim in 1985. I worked outside of the home for another 7 years and quit in 1992 to care for my mother-in-law who had Alzheimer's Disease. We brought her to live with until 1996, when she was placed in an assisted living facility.

have been married to a former NCR co-worker for 34 years, and have a daughter, Robin, who lives in Cincinnati.
My mom passed away in 2013; my sister Sally, who is widowed, lived with her and took care of her for about five years, and she lives there today. So, the Belmont house we grew up in is still in the family, although the neighborhood is not very safe these days.
