Linda's Story
Ah January in the Pacific Northwest! The rainy days in the Seattle area mean snow in the mountains. The downhill skiing is fantastic right now. We split our time between Snoqualmie Pass and Crystal Mountain. Mid week is best as there are less people on the slopes.
March will be here before we know it. Iditarod is gearing up. We usually work the junior race but this year we will opt out due to social commitments in town....Expand for more
We will volunteer for the big race which starts the first weekend in March. Dale and I will already be on trail setting up at Rainy Pass before the race. After a week of hard work and little sleep there (sub zero temps,no running water,and a wine tasting) I will head up trail and end up in Nome. There goes the month of March.
By the time I return home the daffodils will be in bloom and it will be garden time. Whoo! Hoo!
