Linda's Story
Life (I'm on FACEBOOK)
I've been married for 28 years, and only once, thank God! We still run our construction co together, but in the last 3 years, I needed something else for me to do, separate and apart from Brian, so I got a job at a directional drilling company. Its full time. My kids are 22 and 20. My daughter is on her own now and my son is now an Airman. Kent has almost completed his tech training in Mississippi. I can't wait to see him. I miss him terribly. My Dad sill lives in PL and I try to visit once every 1 or 2 years. We have two dogs and a cat. I'll be 52 in October, 2009! Where has the time gone.
School
After graduating mid-term 1975, I went straight into Victoria College. Wanted to get out of Port Lavaca. I miss my friends, Pat Roe, Ruth Clampitt, Terri Garrison and my friend in 12th grade, Susan Winch. Susan stills lives in PL, its Susan Riley now, she works for a Judge. College
College was a way to get away from Port Lavaca. I met a girlfriend in shorthand class and moved into her apartment in Victoria. We quit in the 4th semester at Victoria College, moved to Baytown, TX, met my husband, moved to Houston and got my first office job at the General Adustment Bureau.
Workplace
We've been self-employeed with our construction company for 21 years. Before that I worked at Marathon Oil for 9 years and 2 months. I quite to have my second child and continued to work at our home office as girl everything. We do residential and commercial projects. I got my realestate license June of 2001. Did realestate for 5 years, what a rat race that is. We tried a move to Florida November of 2005. Stayed 5-1/2 months, Brian hated working for the man. We moved back to lafayette Now, I work for a directional drilling company and still run my husbands company too.
